Online Games FAQ
Will the games play on my device?
Will the games play on my device?
All our online games will run on any
browser that supports HTML5 (such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and IE).
Run this HTML5 support validator to
check your browser. We don't recommend you use a phone for playing the games, since the screen may be too small. Instead, we recommend tablets, laptops and
desk top computers.
Important: your browser's cookies must be
enabled, and your browser must support local memory (see "Storage" in the HTML5
Validator Report). Your browser will also require a certain amount of local
memory to run the apps. Click here to read
more about local storage. We cannot guarantee that your device will work with our games. Note that these games are not necessary for our
Orton-Gillingham reading programs, they are available only for a fun way to reinforce material.
To find the code (a randomly chosen word from the reading program lesson/workbook) open the web app
for your program (click
here).
For the Blast Off to Reading app, touch one of the game icons; you will then be taken to the activations page. For the I Can Fly app,
when first opening the app, you will be taken to a page where you can select to enter in the codes or select ten minutes of free play. Once the app
takes you to the activation page, you will be given instructions on
where to find the code in your workbook to enter into the text box. Note
that it is our policy not to give out codes in any manner (email, text or phone)
- you will need your book.
For example, if you are using Blast
Off to Reading ®, you may see "Enter the word at Exercise 45.3 #2"
(note that the codes are randomly chosen and this is just an example). You
should then go to that exercise and enter the word from #2.
If you are using a tablet (such as an iPad), we recommend that you open the
app in the web browser, save it to your home screen, and then enter the
code. This is to ensure that your code will be stored in the correct memory
area.
Note that you will only have to enter the code in once, and it will be saved in your device's memory. If you erase your browser data or delete the game from your device's homepage, all memory saved will be deleted. This data includes: access codes as well as all saved screens and rewards that may have been saved.
